I've developed a number of tools to simplify my own printing of these small zines.
And I'm happy to share them as well to encourage you to make, create, print, and share offline!

Every now and then, upon request, I give a workshop where I share my way of working: a day spent shooting, making selections, printing, and sharing the results.
8 pages - one sheet - portrait format
Single-sided printing (borderless), no staples, no glue
- Fold the paper in half lengthwise and widthwise, and then once more widthwise from both sides; now you have essentially folded all the mini pages.
- Make a cut along the middle fold, stopping at the center.
- Fold the paper back along the creases. Push the two ends toward each other. The center will pop out and form the pages.
8 pages - one sheet - landscape format
Double-sided printing (borderless), with staples, no glue
- Fold the paper in half lengthwise and widthwise
- Cut the paper in the length
- Put B on A
- Put 2 staples in it
- And fold it to your zine
Fun :: include an extra page in the middle (don't cut it) and you have a poster included.
Make sure when you staple this, you leave the poster unfolded.
16 pages - one sheet, portrait format
Double-sided printing (borderless, on the short edge), with staples, no glue
- Fold the paper in half lengthwise and widthwise, and then once more widthwise from both sides; now you have essentially folded all the mini pages.
- Cut the page, so you have A and B separate (automatically C and D as well)
- Put B on A
- Put 2 staples in it
- And fold it to your zine
16 mini pages - one sheet, portrait format
Single-sided printing (borderless), no staples, with glue
- Fold the paper in half lengthwise and widthwise, and then once more widthwise from both sides; now you have essentially folded all the mini pages.
- Make the three cuts as displayed
- Fold the mini pages starting from the left bottom
- After everything is fold, make sure to put the first page (back cover) around all the pages
- You can attach that page (back cover) with a little glue on the last page
