Photowalk with Kan van de Dam

What a pleasure to meet Kan today. She gave me a lot to think about. Something I really appreciated!
Although I didn't had too much time today, we started with a coffee and talked about the creative side of photography.
She has brought up some great ideas for my Dutch Street Magazine. So more to come on that soon!
We did a short walk from Central Station to Nieuwmarkt to Damsquare and back again to Central Station.
During the walk I saw this man putting the Amsterdam flag at his shop.
I pointed my camera at him and gave him a pat if that was okay. He wasn't okay with that. So I walked up to him and just said that I wanted to capture him with the Amsterdam flag. He explained to me why he didn't want his picture taken, all legit. But then I said, sorry, I think I got you, I'll delete it. He looked at it and said no, keep it. At that moment two customers came and he quickly said, come by another time.
The good lesson again; don't be afraid, no need to sneak up to people, be open and friendly.
