State of ...
Showcase of images from a specific place or location in The Netherlands
Only available in limited printed editions
In each edition I show you work from different photographers, who tell about everyday life with their photos in their own way and in their own style.
And by approaching the everyday, each time in a different way, a collection of unique images is created.
All "State of ..." zines are curated, printed in limited editions and all participating photographers are contributing voluntarily and unpaid.
Copyright and all other rights of each photo featured belongs to the photographer.
You can reach out to them directly if you are interested in these zines.
Support your favourite photographer!
I also have a number of copies, which you can order here (to support this initiative).

About
These zines are created for the love of our Dutch streets
It is my personal project, where I would like to show photographs of the streets of the Netherlands to everyone and have them published in limited editions and especially only in print.
It all started with Dutch Street Magazine, a digital magazine which can be downloaded as PDF. However I increasingly felt the need to do more offline and especially in print.
When I got in touch with Daan Heijbroek we founded State of Amsterdam in 2023. And finally realised the first print in January 2024.
The zines are curated, printed in limited editions and all participating photographers are contributing voluntarily and unpaid.
Each edition of the State has a maximum of 6 different photographers. The choice of photographers is made by invitation only.
You can contact the participating photographers directly if you would like to purchase an issue that features them.
I usually have a few copies myself as well to sell (to support this initiative). But first support your favorite photographer by buying it directly from them.
Besides making the zines, it's great to collaborate and help each other!

We are ...
The state of the city
The state of the streets
The state of our time
